Chalk Artist

We have busted out the sidewalk chalk here at our house! I am so happy Olive likes doodling as much as her Mommy does! I think this activity might be more my favorite than her's, but she always has a great time.

I love how concerned she looks, as if she is working on a masterpiece
and can't figure out one part!

Working so hard!

She left a little evidence of her chalky fingers on the door of Daddy's shop!

Here's to many more days of doodling on the sidewalk!

Speed Racer!

The Guncles got Olive a fancy new car for Easter! She is definitely going to be the envy of the neighborhood cruising around in her new pink convertible! They had it set up in the driveway when she got up from her nap.
"I hear there is something for me out here!"

Guncle Shawn helping her in!
Look at the concentration on that face!
Push the button...

She wasn't quite sure what to think when it would go on it's own. She liked to get out and check out the stickers. Then she decided standing on the ground beside the car and pushing the button seemed a little more safe! Cora, our sweet neighbor across the street, has tried out the new convertible and she loves it too! Thanks Guncles!

Easter Baskets and Eggs

Olive had several Easter baskets to open and she got the first one on Saturday from Dano and Honey.
Daddy helped her open her eggs which contained...
MONEY!
Then on Sunday, she got her special basket from Auntie M and Uncle Isaac.
which contained...
another favorite, BUBBLES!
POP!
This girl loves her bubbles!
They sure know her well...bubbles and money! :)
Then it was time to hunt for eggs, inside since it was pouring rain outside!
She searched the whole house!
Even Dano had an egg hiding on him!
Checking out all of her eggs...
"Ooooh!!! More Money!!"

"Now how do I get this back together?"
"Tank tu Dano, I yuv you."

Thank you for all of the eggs which I now spread ALL over the house! Mommy loves those eggs!

Easter Morning

I ordered Olive's Easter dress from SheShe Made and I loved it. I was so excited to get it in and try it on her. Then, she FREAKED OUT! She hated it! She was ripping the sash off trying to get the dress off. We tried it on every night this week to practice...and every night it was the same reaction. I was so worried this morning when we went in to get her dressed. I told her that we were going to put her "pretty dress" and she beamed. She put it on and started swaying saying "pretty!" It must have been an Easter miracle! I was so happy! We tried to take a few pictures before leaving for church this morning.

This was the best we could get at church. She wasn't exactly in the picture taking mood.
Luckily, she was a little more into posing with her eggs when we got home.

Thank you Dano and Honey for my special dress and shoes!

First Annual Hippety Hoppety Egg Hunt

Saturday morning (despite the chilly temperature) we had the first annual Hippety Hoppety Egg Hunt at Lion's Park! There were 17 kiddos there to hunt for some eggs. Olive had so much fun with all of her favorite friends (minus a few)! We can't wait to do it again next year!

This is the view of Olive we had for most of the day!

Addi and Campbell were ready to start hunting!Everyone lining up!
Traci and Dano were such great starting line attendants!
Ready, Set...
GO!!!
Olive was so excited to take off running, I am not sure she knew why everyone was running and screaming, but she joined right in!
Then she figured it out and she was like an egg grabbing machine! She kept saying "one more!"
Sweet Eleanor was a little more diligent in her egg gathering,
carefully picking them up one at a time.
Everyone was hunting like crazy!
Even Grady got in on the action!
Molly was checking out the loot in the eggs as she gathered them.
I think a sneaky little someone had her eyes on Molly's eggs.

Daddy opened one of the eggs and it had the golden prize in it...
BUBBLES!!
Then we thought it would be a great idea to get a picture of all of the kiddos together. Olive wasn't having it. I am not sure what her problem is with group pictures lately! UGH!
From left to right, Row 1:Ava, Jenna, Layla, Gray, Grady, Anna, Olive
Row 2: Addison, Molly, Campbell, Avery, Luke, Nolan, Salyer
Row 3: James (not pictured: Alden, Eleanor)
I think considering we were herding cats, this is a pretty good group pic!
Then they all had to check out what was in the eggs!

And the day wouldn't have been complete without a little swinging!
Olive and Salyer
We were so happy Dano and Honey got to come play too!
Thank you to everyone that came despite the yucky weather! Hopefully next year Mother Nature will cooperate a little better!
Hoppy Easter!
