Oh So Fun!

Dano and Honey came down Friday evening for a play date with little miss. They didn't know what they were in for! Olive got a bowling set for Christmas (Thanks Pop!) that she adores. It is a bit noisy, so it comes out on "special occasions". She saw it at the top of the closet and kept saying "My ball, my ball" so Dano got it down for her. Our hallway is the perfect bowling lane, so he set it up and then they started bowling...
Hooray!! Then the ever meticulous Dano showed her how to set them back up exactly the right way.
When he went back to the end of the hall, she decided to check them to make sure they were right..

Look at this mischievous grin! And then knocked them all down again!
This little routine went on for quite a while with lots of giggling and squeals. Then she decided to play with her animal puzzle with Honey.

Wrigley had to help.

Thank you Dano and Honey for coming to play! We had so much fun!

Bad Habits Start Now...

Uh oh!!

So, I did something really bad. Really, really, bad. I let Olive eat while sitting on the counter one day. Now she likes to sit there and thinks that is where you sit to eat. She will even run to the counter and yell "turkey!" when she gets hungry.
I know the counter isn't the ideal place to eat...
But look how happy she is!

And the bottom line is, she is eating, so I really don't care! Sorry Ms. Manners.

DUMP TRUCK!!!

Stephen is working on a large landscape job right now and he has been working really long hours. So today, we went to see him "on the job". Olive was so excited when we pulled up and she saw him. She yelled "Daddy!!" and ran down the driveway to meet him.
"Okay, Daddy, so what is going to go in here?" Working on the grand plan...

She wanted to get in the truck so bad!
The little boy who lives at this house had come outside to watch the sand get dumped from the dump trailer and he kept yelling "DUMP TRUCK!" Well of course, our little mockingbird was running around yelling the same thing! She was jumping up and down with excitement. And then she got to help Daddy lower the trailer!
I love you Daddy! Thank you for working so hard for us and for letting me help!

Day of Fun With Dano!

Dano came down to have lunch with us and enjoy the sunshine! We had a yummy lunch and then headed over to the First Baptist park. Olive loved showing Dano around.
"This is how you climb, Dano."

"Ride!"

I think this is the sweetest picture!! "Wheeeee!!!"
Our little dare devil went across the wobble bridge...
and down the slide on her knees!

We had such a fun time at the park Dano! Thanks for playing with us!
On a totally different note, we had this really boring corner in our back living room that has been bothering us for a while. I knew that I wanted to put some framed pictures of Olive up, but I hadn't gotten "inspired" quite yet. Monday Olive and I stopped in Gordman's and I think the frames were calling my name! It looks much better, don't you think?

Happy Birthday Dano!

Dano's birthday was yesterday and we had big plans to go see him and then some crazy schedule things happened and we didn't get to go, so we went to see him this morning! He was "unhooked" for the time being from his IV, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and went for a little stroll around the pond at the hospital. Olive was so excited to see the ducks. She was holding onto the rails, jumping up and down yelling "kack!"

There is a cute little gazebo by the pond and when we went inside, Mr. and Mrs. Goose thought we had food. One came into the gazebo and the other took the outside route. They were a little too close for comfort for Mommy, but Olive just waved to them.
Happy Birthday Dano!! We love you!

Happy Birthday Honey!

Today was Honey's birthday! I took the afternoon off from school and Olive and I went to her work to surprise her. And would you believe that I didn't take any pictures??!! What was I thinking?!! Honey was so excited to see us standing in the lobby when she came down the hall! We went to Cuppies and Joe, a cute little cupcake place, to get a birthday cupcake. It is a darling place and we would have been able to enjoy it so much more if a certain little friend wouldn't have had the ultimate meltdown over not getting to hold the entire cupcake. When we left there, we went to spend some time with Dano. Honey, we know it wasn't the ideal birthday, but we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! Happy Birthday!! We love you!
This is one of my favorite pictures of Olive with Dano and Honey.

Do The (clap, clap) Potty Dance!

Olive is OBSESSED with the Pull up's "Potty Dance" commercial. She gets up and dances every time it comes on! If she hears it from another room she will run to where it is and bust a move. Apparently, potty dance day was yesterday, I hope that doesn't mean they will be removing the commercial! Check out these moves!

Olive Is Officially A Diva...

Olive has been needing a haircut for awhile now, because of these two beauties...
It isn't as obvious when it is dry, but it just needed to be "cleaned up" a little.
My Mom did her very first trim last summer, but we decided it was time for her to get a "big girl" haircut. So, this morning, we headed over to see Jenny (the sweetest and best hair girl in OKC) at Diva Salon. She freaked out when we tried to put the cape on her and I think it made Jenny a little nervous. We just went without the cape and I handed her my phone. She played with my phone the whole time and didn't really even realize what was happening. Auntie M was so sweet to come along to take pictures and to play with Olive in the car while Mommy got a much needed haircut too! Thanks Auntie M!
The first snip...

Good bye weird, long, curly piece!

So pretty!

Thank you Jenny!
