Under The Big Top

A few weeks ago, we took Olive to the circus. We didn't know what to expect at all. This was her first "you have to stay in your seat" event. She got to pick out a wand before we even went in. As soon as the lights went down, she got a very serious look on her face and this is pretty much how she looked throughout the entire show.

She seemed to like it, but really didn't have much to say. Which is very unusual! At intermission, we met up with our friend Eleanor. I tried to get a picture of the girls, but in an effort to say cheese, they added a jump. So...

Probably Olive's favorite act was the lady who was swinging on the trapeze swing...

A few minutes after intermission, she said "I am ready to go to my house now." So we headed out. On the way home we asked if she liked the circus and she said "Yes, they got in the box." This is what she has told people about the circus, "they got in the box". At least the contortionists made an impression on her. They totally creeped Mommy out!
