The Adventures of Olive and Her Friends

Olive has a new obsession...Thomas and his friends. She has been kind of hit or miss about the show in the past, but the last few weeks that is the only thing she wants to watch. We were at Kohl's a few weeks ago and the marketing department is so clever to put the toys right next to the children's clothing. I told her that if she was good after we looked at clothes, she could look at toys. And she found James. And she had to have him. So James joined our family as her first engine. Daddy wanted for James to have a friend, so he stopped and picked up a Thomas on his way home to surprise her. She was THRILLED! The first day she had them, she fell asleep on the couch with them in her hands.

The next day they joined us to run errands and helped her take a nap then too!Last Friday I went to dinner with friends and I got a video from Stephen of Olive informing me that "Daddy and Olive are on a venture to rescue Percy". Apparently, they went searching for a Percy to join her fleet and it took several stores before a rescue was made. A little Thomas that goes on her tracks also joined the fleet this weekend. So now, she doesn't go anywhere without them. They watch their show with her.

They go to the park with us.

The play in the grass while we swing in the front yard.

They go to Home Depot with us.

They watch Olive take a bath.

And they watch from the car if there are too many kids at the park for them to join us.

One thing is for sure, this girl LOVES her trains!
