Rock-A-Bye Baby!

When I was a kid, we did the most amazing "Vacation Bible School" crafts. My friend, Kara's mom was always in charge and she didn't do your average order and cut craft...we did amazing projects, like this cradle that I made in third grade!
My Dad found it in the attic and thought that as much as Olive loves her babies, she would love having a cradle to rock them in. Mom and Gigi brought it down last week, and she loves it!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today was Stephen's birthday and we did our best to make him feel special this evening! He had to work all day, but when he got home we celebrated! We had Outback for dinner and then yummy cake and presents. Olive ran into her room and came out with her pin wheel, I guess she knew it was a party! "Here Daddy, let me help you with this."

Make a wish...
Olive enjoyed a few crumbs of cake too!
Birthday love
Blowing kisses for Daddy.

Happy Birthday Stephen! We love you the most!

The Coffee Shuffle

Olive discovered a new toy in the kitchen! Behold, the newest "dance craze" for toddlers! You've heard of the cupid shuffle, but have you seen the Coffee Shuffle?

First, you find your Daddy's coffee container. Then you squat to sit on it. Then you bounce up and down.
Then you scoot!
There is supposed to be a video, but it won't load! Ugh!

15 months old!

Olive turned 15 months old today! I can't believe it has already been 3 months since her birthday! She is growing and changing so much these days. We are loving watching her grow and trying to soak it all in! Here are a few "highlights" on our girl:
*She weighs 19.5 pounds
*She currently has 5 teeth, with a new one poking through today and another trying to, hence the drool soaked shirt.
*She is running everywhere she goes.
*She loves bouncing on things, and has turned pillows into bouncing toys.
*She loves to sit in your lap. She will "back in" to anyone sitting on the ground...this includes sweet little Lillian at Miss Terri's house.
*She has learned how to scowl and is using this face frequently. It is pretty funny when she does it, but we are trying to discourage it.
*She is OBSESSED with technology. Phones, remotes, computers, anything with buttons is her favortie.
*She is now responding to questions with a "uh huh" with the proper enunciation to imply yes or no.
*Her vocabulary now includes: Hi, Bye-Bye, Momma, Daddy, Tede (Terri), Tank to (Thank you), Peas (Please), Here go (Here you go), Ball, Mimi, More, Boo!, Eat, Bre-Bre (Wrigley), bubble, bible and a few more.
*She likes to read her books and will sit on the floor and turn the pages while saying words that she knows.
*She loves to play with her babies and give them hugs and kisses.
*She has decided she likes to wear shoes and will find shoes in the house and insist that we put them on for her. She will also find our shoes, and insist that we put them on.
*She still likes to be outside and loves going for rides in her car.
She is a bundle of fun and the brightest part of every day.
Happy 15 month birthday sweet girl! We love you more than you can imagine!

Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch

Sunday afternoon we headed out to Newcastle to the TG Farms Pumpkin Patch. It was a beautiful day and it wasn't very crowded. We had a great time!
"These don't look quite right."
Our little farmer LOVED the animals. Her Mommy not so much! Checking out the bunnies.
She kept saying "Hi go!"
We even got to go into the goat pen.

"Hi goat!"
She liked checking out the guineas.
The pig came from across his yard to come over to the fence. At first, she wasn't sure what to think about him.
And then she liked him.
We did a very thorough hand scrubbing before moving on to the playground.
She loved playing on the slides and the tricycles.
The tricycle was a bit of a work out for Mommy!

Then we got to sit in the stand to watch the "Pig Races". They really were cute all running around the track! Olive liked clapping for them. Then we loaded up in the wagon to go find the perfect pumpkins.

We had a great day, and we got to take home the cutest pumpkin of them all!

Spiderman!

This afternoon, I got this text from Terri: "Your little girl is coming home as Spiderman. She just had a party with Spencer's juice box before I could stop her. All I had here were Spiderman PJ's. She has her bow in though and looks pretty stinkin' cute!"
I couldn't wait to see her! She LOVED her spiderman jammies!

Showing off her "Spidey" moves!

Trick or Treat!!

We couldn't wait to take our little "Ming-Ming" trick or treating on our street!
But, she wanted to do a little swinging first...
Her first door, our sweet next door neighbor, Connie. She was excited to go up to the door by herself, until someone answered and then she ran to be held.
At the next house, we ran into our good friend Cora the Gnome!

Headed down the street to Pop's house.

Oh! Thank you!
While at Pop's, she had to go in and say hi to Dave the Bear.
More candy!
Our next to last stop was our friend, Knox's house. He let us come in and play for a few minutes. Isn't he the cutest spider EVER!?
Then we headed home. "Hey! This door looks familiar!"
"WRIGLEY!!!! There you are!"
"Ooooh! Is this candy for me?"
Happy Halloween!
